JDRF hosted the inaugural Relay Rutherford race on May 12, 2012. 230 runners from 38 teams covered approximately 55 miles in Rutherford County beginning in Eagleville, passing through Rockvale and Murfreesboro and ending at StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Basic teams of 10 or Ultra teams of 5 rotate runners as many times as necessary to finish the race, but every runner must run at least once. The race is geared towards intermediate to advanced runners who can easily run a 5K distance or who want to challenge themselves by running multiple times in a single day. More information
